
Justin Montigne is a vocal pedagogue and singer specializing in historical performance, collaborative recitals, and consort singing. As Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of North Dakota, he teaches voice lessons and diction for singers while serving as Music Director of the Musical Theatre Production.
Performance and Teaching Background
Dr. Montigne's performance career includes three years touring and recording with the Grammy Award-winning Chanticleer, and fifteen seasons as a founding member of Clerestory, where he curated more than forty concert programs and recordings. He has premiered numerous contemporary works and performs comfortably across many musical styles and eras.
His teaching experience spans fifteen years with the Grammy Award-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus as Director of Voice Studies, plus faculty positions at UC Davis, UC Berkeley, and Sonoma State University.
